Principle of operation
Water from the heat source is distributed over the wet deck
surface through gravity flow diffuser nozzles. Air is simultaneously blown
across the wet deck surface, causing a small portion of the water to evaporate.
This evaporation removes the heat from the remaining water. The cooled
water falls into the tower sump where it is returned to the heat source.
